Creating a sense of wonder

I began painting after retiring in 2012, when what started as a pastime quickly became a way of life. Landscapes called to me—mountains, islands, and coastlines that I had wandered through on my travels, each carrying its own memory and emotion. Closer to home, Mount Royal in Montreal became a faithful companion, its shifting moods through the seasons reminding me that beauty is never fixed, but always changing.

When I paint, I step into a timeless space where stories unfold through colour, texture, and light. Each canvas is both an interpretation of place and an invitation to journey with me. My earlier career in mental health and entrepreneurship taught me to embrace change and curiosity—qualities that continue to guide my art as I seek to capture wonder and share it with others.
