Though I am creating art, I am evoking an emotion.
This work is part of my sixth exhibition, scheduled for 30 June 2026, and continues my exploration of landscape as a space for emotional resonance and transformation.
I invite the viewer to enter a liminal state, between presence and absence, memory and imagination, where calm, openness and silent introspection can arise.
My goal is not to describe, but to evoke feelings: to stir up a gentle nostalgia and offer a moment of emotional clarity.
I worked directly on the medium with a knife, allowing rhythm and movement to guide the process.
Baroque music served as the muse for this work, replacing my usual reference to Mount Royal and introducing a more structured and contemplative cadence.
The painting sits on the border between the ethereal and the earthly, bringing a sense of peace and reflection to the space in which it is displayed.
